How it all began

Let’s set the scene: a sunny summer day in Austin, Texas. Two strangers meet for a paddleboarding adventure on Lady Bird Lake.


With the scent of sunblock and endless possibilities in the air, it wasn’t too long before Gina & Michael hit it off! Their conversation flowed and soon enough they were sharing Som Tum (papaya salad) and wings at their shared favorite Thai spot in South Austin.

Our Story

  • 2018

    The beginning of our journey together!

  • 2019

    Fast forward 10 months later, they take a leap of faith together—quitting their jobs and setting off to backpack across the world. From the Australian outback to the islands of Indonesia, they make countless memories and spark their shared love of travel.

  • 2020

    Another six months later, amid the chaos of the pandemic, Gina and Michael decide to make the best of it. They move in together and adopt the sweetest kitty cat, Enzo, who soon becomes a beloved part of their family.

  • 2021

    Yet, where their love story truly blossoms, is in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Over weekend trips to Driftwood, Fredericksburg, and Lost Maples, they explore wineries, barbecue joints, and swimming holes, discovering a new love for this beautiful part of Texas.

  • 2022

    Those journeys back and forth to the Hill Country lead us to November 13th, 2022 and a surprise engagement in those same hills. 

  • 2024-2025

    We can’t wait to celebrate this special place and our story with you on April 5th!
